Sleepless

Three hundred sixty-five days feels like a glimpse of infinity
I’m never on time because it’s always ahead of me
Twenty four hours in a day, sixty minutes in an hour, five days in a week
How many hours do you think is spent on sleep?
I’m so exhausted physically
Strife and stress in my life has me drained emotionally
As my sleepless days seem everlasting
In my moonlit bedroom, my shadow starts casting
My tired eyes will close soon any day now and admit defeat
I can’t wait to lie under these warm cotton sheets
As sleepless days and weeks passed by;
A part of me is waiting patiently for a lullaby
Sleeping, that's the only time I can really get away
Hopefully very soon free time to rest will come my way
