Sleepless 10 Year-Old

I'm trying to do nothing But I keep doing something Though I'm not doing much I've still got the magic touch I'm trying to go to sleep Without saying a peep It's hard to try But even harder to cry I'm trying to dance Without losing my pants Hopefully I will grow taller Without having to holler I will try and go to bed As my mother had said So I might start a fight But I'm trying with all my might To be polite So goodnight alright

You captured the ten year old perfectly. A belated welcome to the soup. Cme and visit when you have a chance, I may have some pieces to your liking.
