Sleeping With Dogs

Tonight I sleep with dogs,
Laughter through midnight hour,
Darkness has got a price,
Listening to a swaying willow
tree.

I'm sleeping with Charlie,
Thomas and Bob,
Sweet scent from Jasmine
flowers,
Shadows at my line of sight,
Hearing whispers spoken to me.

Watching K9s is now my job,
Until night shift is up and over,
Forget my worries and hunger
pangs,
Tomorrow I sleep with dogs
again.
