Sleeping Wide Awake

Time does not
Have to pass through the hands
But through absorbent eyes
Extending hours
With their gaze
Would the hands, the eyes,
The gaze exist
If it weren't for
The beholder?
I am real as I can take
I'm sleeping wide awake
