Sleeping On the Shore
There he lies sleeping on the shore
How innocent how divine how pure
No worries or sadness can reach him now
All seen is comfort on his angelic brow
Shh! be quite! Stop! Leave him there!
If he was alive he’d appreciate your care
No more worries shall we have for the dead
So leave him sleeping on the shore, his new bed
No more sadness or joy
For that little boy
