Listen to poem:

Sleeping Away From You

Sleeping Away From You
By David J Walker

Breathe deep
The last scent
Before I sleep
Fill my soul

And cause to weep
So many miles away

With innocence
And tender care
Caressed by perfect
Perfumed midnight air

And left to dream
Of one who wept
And left her scent
While I yet slept

And dream that
We might once again
Breathe
In perfect unison
