Sleeping
I slept with you again last night,
Beneath the stars on sacred ground.
For any ground we lay upon is surely blessed;
Anointed by the feelings we have both confessed.
I slept with you again last night;
A favorite thing of mine to do.
My hands explored the landscape of your skin,
Till sure there wasn’t any place they hadn’t been.
I slept with you again last night,
But babe, we didn’t get much sleep.
We took the time to linger where it pleased us best,
With love enough to satisfy each sweet request.
I slept with you again last night,
And it was such a pleasant dream.
I want to keep on dreaming till this dream comes true,
And every night can be the night I sleep with you.
