Sleep My Princess

Darling please close your eyes
As the moonlight's dim rays find you,
Let me protect you from the dark skies
And rest till I feel the morning's dew.

You are my bliss in the morning,
The genesis of all my worries,
The one who gives my sword meaning
And the maiden of all my stories.

Your mind shouldn't regress
To the worries of tomorrow or the past,
So please sleep my princess,
I'll protect you from problems so vast.

Ahh ,such a lovely and romantic poem this is, I really enjoyed reading it, but there is one line, you said that you are genesis of all my worries, If I am right, genesis means opening, source or root, so are you saying that you are the reason of my worries?lol, just a thought,

It is when we love someone or something the genesis for most our worries comes back to their welfare. That's what I meant here in the poem with that line. :)

It is indeed translated that way Faraz and I'm glad you enjoy the poem I've written! Cheers.
