Sleep
My soul feels lost and empty
Just need to go to sleep
Try to hold this heart together
The one without a beat
Empty on the inside
And bleeding on the out
Sometimes I wonder
If I will ever figure it out
Where my life is going
And where it’s ever been
It’s even hard it know
If this soul can ever mend
An empty shell of a person
Walking around in a daze
Can someone help me find
A warm and safe escape
I tried it once before
But it wasn’t even real
This time I thought forever
Would help my heart to heal
So I’m going back to sleep
I think it’s safer there
Peaceful empty heart
Sleeping in despair
