Sky Paintings
I always find it quite amazing
As skyward I am gazing,
How something as simple as sunrise rays
Can set my mood for the rest of the day.
Pink and gold on a background of blue.
Wispy white strands of clouds pass through.
My heart starts to lift as I see them pass by.
Like paintbrushes stroking the canvas of sky.
The beauty of nature and the colors therein
Always encourages me my day to begin.
To tackle my tasks and get them all done
Before I see the setting of the sun.
When evening falls and the sun goes west
Is one of the hours I like the best.
In a red blaze of glory down goes the sun
I am so peaceful now that the day is done.
I have completed all that I set out to do.
I will wait for the morning to begin anew
And hope that the sky will once again display
Its beautiful painting to inspire my day.
