Skin
Touch the silk that lines your glove
smooth and soft.
They don't bother with the skin
you were never shown love.
Do not write me letters
They'll be burned away
Hungry are the eyes that are
eating me away, they're
eating me away, they'll
never get away, they're
eating me away
Do not make me stay.
I'll float across your hands as they play
Scars on your knuckles, they're bruised from
your touch.
I feel every bump, every cut, any scrape;
they're eating you away
they'll never go away
they're eating you away
you'll never have to say,
"I want you to stay"
I would anyway.
