Sixth Grade Shops At the School Store

The sixth graders were the next to shop.
They were a small but mighty group.
They left more loudly than they arrived.
It was great to see them!

So many said thank you.
It was marvelous to be given the gift of their manners.
They are gone now; the auditorium is silent.
Feeling sad, wishing her seats were filled.

Aha! We hear children in the hallway
Heading this way.
I watch the auditorium light up

I never heard of "class shopping," but I think it must be very educational. It is always a good experience to encounter polite youngsters.

It is really fun; they earn "bucks" for good behavior, going the extra mile, etc. then once a month they can spend them for new things in the school store.

It is really great. Almost all of the KC schools have a school store and "reward bucks" to shop in them.
