Sitting Quietly

I'm here
sitting quietly
listening to what you say
and its starting to feel like, I don't give a damn anyway

about how it went
on in your day
and i don't give a damn anyway
all the things
you had to say
and I don't give a damn anyway

I'm here
sitting quietly
listening to all you hate
and its really starting feel like, I don't give a damn anyway

how your boss is ignorant
and the pay isn't great
and I don't give a damn anyway
that your car is undependable and breaking away
and I don't give a damn anyway

and then you look at me with mouthful eyes
in which I tell you "It will be alright."
I rub your back
a smile brings light
you touch my face
it feels so right
and then I phase
and look at you
and here I am...
I'm such a fool

I'm here
sitting quietly
listening to your laugh
and its starting to feel like, that i give a damn anyway

that sickly cough that makes you rasp
guess I give a damn anyway
when your out and late as day
guess I give a damn anyway

I'm here
sitting quietly
listening to what you say

here
sitting quietly
listen every single day

sitting quietly
every single word you say

quietly...
let the pain subside today
