Sitting Alone

Sitting alone by the phone, I’ll never forget the call. The one I hoped to get, but never received at all. I know that you couldn’t stay At a place you weren’t smiling. Things didn’t go your way, And your problems were piling. Will you someday remember me or maybe just come back again? Will I ever laugh or smile without having to pretend (now and then).
