Sister, I Love You

Sister, I love you,
Simply because I do
There is no one better
No one like you
You have been my role model
The one I will always follow
The strongest one I know
The only one who shows
All the compassion
All the care
Even when there are no eyes
No others who care
Even in your struggle
Even as you put together the pieces of your broken puzzle
You seek to help those in need
Imparting wisdom
Planting seeds
Of strength and courage
Delivering words to the discouraged
Being the light for us all
Your example stands tall
Giving us a goal to reach
Reminding us all we have something to teach
And to practice what we preach
My sister, I love you with all my heart
I always have from the very start
May my love cover you
As you have always done
And continue to do
Find strength in me
I need you still
I pray you see
Stand and fight
I will forever stand guard
And be your light.

I love you Hope,
I love you now
I love you still
I love you forever
I always will

Written today 5/14/2023
Mother's Day in less than 5 minutes.
For my sister Hope Jeka Kye
Who had open heart surgery (mechanical mitrial valve replacement) on 4/21/23. She was rushed to the emergency room with a debilitating headache. Diagnosis: brain lesion. Tests are being run to rule out a hemmorage. Please pray for my sister, for anyone struggling in any way. Pray for healing, pray for grace, pray for mercy, pray for God to have the final say.
