Sir Grimly

You wonder what he does all day
watch tv or morbid play
perhaps he cruises the mall
the young to take one and all
or maybe to the library go
peruse obits of so and so
his favorite place the cemetery
his great success brings serenity
if you have no still figured yet
tis Sir Grimly, the king of death

This reminds me of Paganini, the great violinist who used to play for the dead in the cemetery. I'm sure he knew Sir Grimly. Enjoyed immensely. Congrats on the selection. daver

I really enjoyed finding this oldie of yours, Joseph. But not too old. Still from 2012! You have not been here nearly as long as I have. It will be fun for you to look back a few years from now and see all the many poems you will have written!! This poem had a great little twist and the title was so fitting.
