Sinner Sinner

Sinner sinner broken man wakes up every hour.
Forgiveness in the silence sought, his serenity his power.

While all may see a stoic face he is filled with cracks.
Poison seeping to his heart until it's worthless black.

Fighting every movement made, up river in a storm.
Hard lights casting, shadows long, recognize the form.

Long forgotten, never lost, just buried down below.
A fire building in his heart a love begins to show.

A peace, a calm, place to belong; Welcome one and all.
A heavy burden lifted up, until he feels the fall.

Alarm begins to blare so loud, in darkness wake again.
Only in dreams he'll find relief, in life you never win.
