Single
8/29/21
It's all been a giant whirlwind
Among all the straightaways, turns and bends
Still trying to find a girlfriend
Before the entire world ends
Too f***ed up or my senses heightened
Made my choice or was undecided
Cheap, Expensive or priceless
Selfish choices left many lifeless
A new virus
What a crisis
A world of endless violence
When I shut my eyelids
I still can't find it
I'm talking about silence
Thoughts running through my head, can't keep them quiet
Even when out in nature among redwood giants
Experiments with science
It was one sided or there was an alliance
That soon got divided due to selfishness and defiance
Going with or against the queen and highness
For reasons that were treacherous or righteous
Experienced firsthand or read about in history
It's no secret or still a mystery
For victory instead of misery
Despite causing others death or injury
It's all been rather contradictory
Due to honest intentions or trickery
On slopes that were slippery
It was not all that simple
Because resources dwindled
Relationships never rekindled
In the stars and my eyes a twinkle
As it occasionally sprinkled
Another year older another wrinkle
Still single
As sensations tingle
