Singer's Voice

I always wanted to have a singer’s voice. always
wanted those boisterous bellows of baritone
racing through my throat, beating against
my lungs.

though my whistle is something fierce. It’s
shrieks shutter against my teeth and
shatters visible visibleanything and
I’ve broken too much of my eyes
for it to continue.
