Sing We Now of Christmas

Sing We Now of Christmas

Sing we now of Christmas the faithful come – angels sing -
Drummer boy on bended knee before the winter rose now blooming;

Sing we now of Christmas with masters of the hall –
God rest ye merry gentlemen and herald angels all;

Sing we now of Christmas in silent little Bethlehem town
Wondering what child is this when morning bells abound;

Sing we now of Christmas – Noel, Noel - the first Noel -
As once in royal David’s city with friendly beasts the story tell;

Sing we now of Christmas for a star up in the sky
Shepherds as they watched their flocks – three kings marching by.

Sing we now of Christmas on holy nights and midnights clear
The Christ child in a manger stall – joy to the world far and near;

Happy New Year to you dear friend. Thank you so much for your message - as uplifting as the carols we both love! I have so many Christmas memories associated with each one of them the season would truly be sad without them! Sending you all the best for 2021 along with blessings of peace, joy and hope.

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas as we are still in the celebration of the twelve days of Christmas! Your words were a wonderful gift on Christmas Eve. Thank you! For me carols tell the Christmas story - each from a different perspective and in a different way! Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season celebration filled with peace, joy, light and hope.

Many thanks Caren! Christmas music has long been a part of my Christmas celebration that I treasure! This poem is based on the carol Sing We Now of Christmas that is the foundation of my favorite Christmas album. Always happy to have another caroler sing with me! Merry Christmas to you! Sending you Christmas blessings!
