I am reminded of Robert Frost who said of poetry that the aim was song. Life sings if we have mindfulness of the beauty. Yet, know this, a beautiful calm day, or calm lake has survival and death too all in it. Something must die for something to live. So in nature, let us look for the beauty knowing that there too death resides. So, when you find a cricket song, live in that moment. Haiku is a discovery of one, of a moment in time juxtaposed with you.

TO TEARS, I ONCE SAW A LITTLE FIELD MOUSE FORGING FOR FOOD OUT OF HUNGER CAUGHT IN A STICKY TRAP DYING OF THIRST AND HUNGER AND LOOKING UP AT ME, I TRIED TO FREE IT BUT COULD NOT, IT HAUNTS ME STILL THOSE TINY PLEADING EYES ASKING TO BE FREE, I AM NOT FREE OF THE IMAGE YET. LIFE OF ANY KIND IS SO PRECIOUS THIS ONE TIME AROUND ON THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH. ROBERT HENRY POULIN

They(crickets) seem to have delighted in the rain of late in our southern state..Enjoyed reading you Haiku..Very creative..Thanks for the visit to my work..With the moisture it is possible that we will have a lovely autumn showing this year..It takes warm days, cool nights and moisture to make them the most beautiful..Sara
