Since I Saw You Last

Seems like forever since I saw you last, my dreams died when I was in your arms, I knew you'd betray me, but never that fast, I know the secret to your sharp-witted charm. You blew me away like a kite in the cloud, you insinuated I'd be the one to leave, you were way too filthy and way too proud, your actions are what brought me to believe. you..preoccupied me...forgotten like the wind us...lost in failure I know the secret to your sharp-witted charm, seems like forever since I saw you last. you've arrested me twice both times unarmed, you threw me out like yesterday's trash. Your actions is what brought me to believe, you blew me away like a kite in the cloud, what was the mission you wanted to achieve? I always knew you were arrogant and proud. Egotistical head cleverly narcissistic bring nothing but pain ***I don't know if this is a poetry form or not, but I wanted to try something different*** The first two stanzas are quatrains followed by a senryu, then another two quatrains followed by another senryu. The first line in stanza three, is the last line in stanza one.The second line in stanza three is the first line in stanza one. The first line in stanza four is the last line in stanza two. The second line in stanza four is the first line in stanza two. Written By: Laura Loo Date Written: March 30, 2016

Strong, emotional flow. Probably the most striking last 7 lines I've absorbed in awhile.

I don't know what you would call this form but it read well and the emotion was felt
