 For loving memory

she must depart

forever lovely

forever apart

My lilac of beauty

white satin dream

in solitude and rain drops

forever it seems

Since forever it seems, I saw my love go while endless from me are verses that flow My torrents of tears have rained pain’s release, but my love’s petal face in dreams brings me peace N/A Nov. 8, 2017 for 8-Line Poem 1-5 words per line-Use My Short Poem For Inspiration Or Add To It Contest (My title line was inspired by the last line of the model poem given please see 'about the poem' in the box above to view that poem)

Enjoyed this blast from the past. 'Solitude and raindrops', verse flows well, 'forever it seems'. -Richard

This poem was featured this week in the #1 position. Easy to see why. Just so poignantly penned, with a sweet ending two lines. Cheers, Andrea! Warmest wishes, Gershon

It is a beautiful response, I love how it reads and I feel it is a gem, Andrea. Rick's prompt write is quite lovely, too. I've read and enjoyed your write 3 times, it is brevity perfection. Verse form is confusing to me, perhaps the most confusing of all! Love ya ... CayCay
