Simultaneity

Simultaneity
They sound profound life's ups and downs
the many mazes we traverse (one reality, multiverse)
from life to death (our final breath?)
we wander (journey) on our paths.
We're all the genius, fool, and clown
exploring all these ups and downs
                           never knowing where we're going
simply stepping onward (forward) upon the spiraling road
                                         Infinity eludes us.
Time is crass, it does delude us.
While never ending does preclude us.
This and that and otherwise, distractions (are they?)
in the guise of multi-tasking, single minded, always looking never finding.
The one true thing that we will seek (too aggressive, mild, meek).
All ends beginnings with a mask.
What's the challenge, goal, or task?
Windy whims of fate blow past
eternal things that just don't last
the strangest play with us all cast
we stand in awe, yet still aghast
Let us go then up and down
to keep on swimming while we drown.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
