Simply Breathtaking Upon its advent done ... it came and went so characterless this working process from depths, we inhale therefrom, we exhale breath names this function to be ... its junction ~~breath relieved sigh ... expire deep snoring ... respire. We take breaths from out inside whirls about cache paired lungs fill up all calm, we letup in-out when at home out-in while we roam climb uphill we huff candles out we puff ~~breath through life ... unnoticed keeps death ... remotest. As we be breathed brings us this life as we unbreathed blessed afterlife. 2021 August 11 *9th Place* As we be breathed ~~Unseeking Seeker

This is breathtaking William. You have taken the simple act of inhaling and exhaling and transformed it into a poetic blessing. I do love the last stanza. I couldn't quite get into this theme but it is wonderful to see your "breathing" creation. Aloha! Blessings!

Sam, I find US challenges, thought-provoking to the point that when something comes to mind, it's over, so I understand your meaning. When it jumps out to you, done. I'm glad as always for your generous sharing my friend, Aloha!

Dear William, this is a great write - and so philosophical! The rhyme-scheme matches so beautifully with the depth of the poem. Aloha ~ Mala

Yes, most of the time we don't think about the fact that our lungs are working all the time. It is only when we are having trouble do we realize what a precious thing the gift of fresh air is in our daily lives. I enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for dropping by my page with a kind review of my work. Sara

I agree as I've crossed paths with oxygen users, my aunt of long ago being among the numbers. You are most certainly welcomed, Sara, and likewise, I am grateful to you in-kind my friend, Aloha.
