Jim Slaughter Poet Verse

Simply

Do I adore you
Simply because you're wonderful,
Or do you seem wonderful
Because I adore you?

Does my heart beat
Simply each time I think of you,
Or do I think of you
Each time my heart beats?

Do I want you
Simply because I'm fated to,
And Fate created you
Just so I could want you?

Will I love you
Simply for all eternity?
Is just one eternity
Enough time to love you?

Are you simply 
The incarnation of a lovely dream,
Or are you simply
As wonderful as you seem?
