Simple Solutions

The Governors complain about the POTUS
The President complains about them
Chicago's Mayor screams: "Stay at home!"

Meanwhile, more and more folks are dying
Too busy complaining, pols aren't even trying
Simple solutions to some of our problems

Like dedicating more factories to produce PPE
Which'll also open up jobs for laid-off employees

Like offering a prize for a good, cheap ventilator
That'll surely bring a response from sharp innovators

Like creating temporary internships for health-care students
Overworked nurses and doctors might find this quite prudent

Where's the vision and leadership so desperately needed
More complaining and screaming's not going to be heeded

It is getting crazier and crazier; I keep saying "it cannot...." and yet it does.

G'day Gershon … you have hit the nail on the head Gershon. It's a time when inventors must be encouraged, and product produced while lab scientists search for a vaccine - Well written Gershon - Lindsay

Well said Gershon, the same here, been a farce since day one, we were supposed to take it on the chin, they soon changed their minds when told of the possible outcome, I knew what was coming after researching the Spanish flu, my kids thought I was mad, told them to stock up weeks before it all kicked off. Hope alls well Tom

Ha, ha. People in Chicago were nearly coming to blows over rolls of toilet paper a few weeks ago. Had to laugh... Used to used leaves in Israel at times in 1972. The country was much poorer then. I survived somehow. Cheers, Gershon
