Simple Man
"Simple Man"
I may never be the guy
that's the twinkle in your eye.
Nor that lucky fellow
that turns your legs to jello.
I won't ever be the chap
that's a feather in your cap.
Nor that good ole' bloke
you want to take home to your folks.
I know I'm not the dude
who can make you act the fool.
Nor that handsome man
that you have in your plans.......
But.....
I will always be the guy
of which you can rely.
That little lucky fellow
you share time with getting mellow.
I will always be the chap
who can handle all your crap
and hopefully that good ole' bloke
you can turn to when you're broke.
Perhaps I am a foolish dude.
I'll admit this may be true.
Just a simple man
that will always be your friend.....
