Simple Joys

Dewdrops slide down
Precious petals,
Shining brighter than
The rarest metals.

Sunlight slants through
Branches that sway,
Softest light falls
At last edge of day.

Wind whistles in
Darkest of night,
Whispers to us
The secrets of flight.

Birdsong drifts
On softest breeze,
Accompanied by
The rustling leaves.

The Earth
Is always singing,
Can you still feel
Her heart beating?
