Silver Screen

A stage star light across your face,
Hides the gloom
You carry the weight of the room
The embrace of midnight,
Ignites a fire
The world is warmed by your desire

Blown in the wind lies the stories you told,
From the London streets,
To halls of gold
The silence pastures in your memories,
You have always got a friend in me

Did you know you’re the dream they all chase?
Your name’s a song all hearts retrace
Golden moments in the moon’s silent gleam,
We see you shining on the silver screen

Beyond the roles, the masks and the fame,
There’s a soul untouched,
By love’s disgrace
A gentle smile, or a poignant tear,
Through your silence we hear you clear

Through every role you’ve made,
Young hearts yearn
You taught the world to discern
You’re not just a face, but a spirit,
Who flies
High above the scripted skies

Did you know you’re the dream they all chase?
Your name’s a song all hearts retrace
Captured moments in the moon’s silent gleam,
We see you shining on the silver screen

You shine on the silver screen,

High above Heaven’s scripted skies,
To our hearts, you did fly
Silent moments in the moon’s crystal gleam,
Sharing smiles on the silver screen
