Silly Ol' Man In the Moon

There was an old man he lived in the moon He was so bored he had nothing to do One day he peeked over the edge Lost his balance and fell off that ledge He fell and tumbled and came down hard And landed right there in my back yard I went to see if he was okay Helped him up, waited to hear what he'd say He said, "Funny me landing in you yard. You're the one whose heart's so hard. You scowl and laugh at my light. You're afraid to go out in the moonlight and stand in it in some lover's arms. You know it wouldn't really do you much harm. I think it's what you may need and now if you'll excuse me, I have to leave." I stood, watched as he walked away pondering all the words he did say and I thought about them day and night and decided he may just be right. But the only thing he forgot to say to me How to find a lover who's in love with me
