Silly Dream By Silly Me
I was walking on the street,
Gazing at people and wheat.
Listening to traffic police,
Watching the burden on coolies.
Alone I was,
Lost in my thoughts.
Trying hard to imagine,
Suddenly appeared a jinni.
Asked by him was a very obvious question,
YES, so happy I was! No objection!
Waiting for him to ask me my wish,
Just like he did with Aladdin.
Finally he broke his silence, asking me
"What is your wish my master?"
Of my wishes there was a never ending chapter.
I asked him to give me a second to think,
And there my candle of wishes had gone dim.
He said in a sad tone "your wish is fulfilled"
And I realized what I did!
Analyzing that I was one of the top three fools in the world
I suddenly heard
The car horns blowing,
The police shouting,
Asking me to get aside,
And I was so surprised.
I hit my head with a silly expression on my face,
And crossed the road at a faster pace.
For some reason I was happy,
That I didn't waste my wish, behaving like a child using a nappy.
Since that day whenever I walk on that road,
I feel in my brain the thought's load.
With the wishes, I would ask the real jinn to grant me,
To be careful with my wish this time I’ll for sure see!
