Silly Asses

Two young girls were colouring,
In their colouring books
One was choosing pencils
The other having a look
To pick a suitable hue

After much consideration
She chose the colour blue
It looked like a blue donkey
Her friend looked up and saw
Hee Haw laughed her friend

And said "She could not ignore
The fact
She had never seen
A blue donkey before"

She asked her friend
What she had coloured
She answered, a clown
I've used many colours
Although most of it is red

Doesn't he look funny
Standing on his head
Her friend stared at her
She was not very pleased
She was still feeling cross

The way that she had been teased
She knew her friend's colouring in
Was more eye-catching than her own
Blue donkeys are original
That means they stand alone

Both of these children
Had no reason to compete
They both had different ideas
And that indeed is neat
How sweet.
