Silhouette
Silhouette
In a dream somewhere I guess
it was the midnight hour.
I saw you standing there somewhere,
in your hair there was a flower.
A silhouette the night we met
the moon shined bright behind you.
How I thanked my lucky star
that night it helped me find you.
I gently took you by the hand
my heart could clearly see.
I have found where I belong
and you belong with me.
There were no words for us to say
no words we must confess.
Nothing that we could not say
our eyes could not express.
No music nowhere could be heard
and yet I felt it start.
As we stepped in time it seemed
to the beating of a heart.
The night it was so calm and cool,
the outskirts of a park.
The night I held you close to me
as we danced in the dark.
A silhouette the night we met
the moon shined bright behind you.
How I thank my lucky star
for the night it helped me find you.
