Silent Virus

In the coldness of winter
when a virus hit all around
like the silent snowflakes
they both invade without sound
where one can make you cold
and slowly freeze to death
the other makes you sick
and can take your last breath
with one we dress up
stay smuggled and warm
with the other we mask up
hoping we do not come to harm.
like the snowflakes that will melt away
we pray this virus will not stay.

It's something we have to take in stride. The Bible tells us those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like the eagle. I claim that verse for all of us now. God Bless, JB

It can't stay forever Phyllis but until the world's population all agrees to be vaccinated and this happens, Corona will still lurk boldly whereever it wants to strike. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Thanks AnneLise. They started the vaccine here today and like you I am skeptical and feel it was developed to fast. Guess we will see the effects of the first people who get it. Stay healthy as well my friend. love phyl

Hello Phyllis … how are you all going up there now it’s winter. Our summer so far has been like winter. I could not help but read your poem like one of the Christmas poem classics. It’s very good. I trust you are all safe through this covid time as we are - thank you Phyllis - Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay. We are keeping well and glad you are all well. Will be a quite Christmas as we are only allowed 5 people per household. Winter has been mild so far and hope it continues to do so. Will get a note off to you before Christmas. love phyl
