Silent Sounds

Ol' Sol descended. The day was done.
There was no sound from the sun.
I could hear no celestial tune
from that bright golden balloon.
I may as well give a futile try
to catch the song of a butterfly,
so, I listened with a silver ear,
harp strings on the moon to hear.

Now I have never tried listening to a 🦋. But 🪉 strings on the moon especially if you have silver ears that would be amazing 👏

There was someone called Moon Harp on PoetrySoup. I haven't seen her/him for a while. I think it was that name that made me write this poem.
