Silent Pain

Silent Pain Darkness closes in with closed eye lids, ensconced in its embrace tears fall from empty eyes to be blown on the wind like dust. No light from moon, or stars nor heat from summer sun, reaches deep into a pain filled heart from love long gone. Sadness wells up from a dead spring; screams “take me away from the hurt and let me be at peace I implore I can take no more.” Father time reach down and stop the clock, like the sensation from the first and last lover’s kiss. Lies told promises whispered from sweet honey lips, covered like sweets never to be kept. This game where the gentle and true in silence carry deep inside, that now empty place where only the cruel rule. By Patrick D
