Silent Love

Our eyes they meet across the room
Soft glow of knowing
Silent love in my heart
I wonder if it’s showing

Silent love please go away
It forbidden for me to say
So long this love has been
It’s face must not be seen

We talk and pass the time
I wish forever you were mine
If only you did know
This silent love is all a glow

It’s never going to be
Hand in hand by the sea
Silent love I must set you free
Impossible talk it would destroy me

Silent love you must stay
Silent as another day
Better silent than not at all
Silent love you are so cruel
