Silent Echoes of a Heart

Happiness and hope, on that days rainy start, Excited waddling Mommy, awaiting the sound of a heart. When silent echoes came, heard my heart shatter, Sinking in it's void, lacking the one that mattered. The medical walls, were closing in on me, Lights all got dim, it was too hard to see, Tears filling the hallway, making life all a blur, Falling to my knees, last chance to cradle her. Never had I knew her, now she's already gone, Black hole inside of me, I'll never move on. Angels sing lullabies, to one who only ever slept, Another denied mother cries, for someone she's never met. The Lord gave what wasn't given, a hole inside of me. Mourning the loss of a life, that wasn't meant to be
