Silence

do you hear the silent tears i cry
lying quietly in the dark
can you feel the silent scream inside
raging softly in my heart

do you know how many nights i wept
when you turned the other way
all the secrets that i kept
when i realized you wouldnt stay

when silence is only the begining
and tears become the end
would you be the one to hold me
could you even be my friend

i dont want to have to show you
all the storms that i endured
i shouldnt have to tell you
all the heartbreak that occured

do you have it in you
to stay another day
would you whisper softy to me
perhaps hold me while i lay
