Signs of Autumn

pine cones drop like tears
from a weeping willow's bough
autumn's gentle grief

burnt orange cake spread
on the bottom of our shoes
amber hues take hold

gales of wind gust strong
over beds of crimson rust
uncovering seeds

Your haikus are so beautiful my love. I think the first one is my favourite. "from a weeping willow's bough" is so beautiful. The whole haiku represents grief so well. "burnt orange cake spread" is definitely my favourite line from all three. So brillant. "over beds of crimson rust", love the imagery. Very vivid and just gorgeous my love

Dear sis billie! I love how you paint imagery in few syllables! Your syllables are on point and they flow in such a descriptive manner! Especially the opening haiku blew me away and got me hooked! “ pine cones drop like tears from a weeping willow's bough autumn's gentle grief” how you’ve compared and seen grief through autumn and cones drop is very imaginative and artistic! And the second haiku with colors of autumn and how youv stated “ burnt orange cake” is impressive and unique! Stunning string of haiku! I love it! A fave it is! Best wishes . Sending you light always
