SIGHTED FAITH
SIGHTED FAITH
I walk by faith, not by sight
What is sight when it ain't doing right.
It has always led me on a vacation,
Through the beauty of lust & temptation.
I walk by faith, not by sight
Because Jesus Christ is my light.
I can't be afraid of the silent dark night.
Tho blinded sight, faith makes me see better.
Christ showed me how to walk on water,
Even though I sink, I refuse to drown.
The victory isn't final until I wear the crown,
And the news spread across the whole town.
I walk by faith, not by sight
Because Jesus Christ is my light.
By His Word, my path He illuminates
So that His steps, I can faithfully duplicate.
I walk by faith, into the unknown
But I trust the way He has shown.
It's not my eyes that gives me light
But the radiance of God's Word day & night,
That shimmers and shines so bright.
The waters rises to puncture my bloated faith,
Though it wear a transient gloom beneath,
And doom darkness on my steps attend,
Tho goosepimples on my skin, I won't pretend,
Its course is bliss, and triumph is my end.²6
