Notes About The Poem

Sight

While I sit here
in the sand
I try to tell myself
I don't miss you

As the waves
caressed my feet
I struggle with
admitting how much
I want to kiss you

It's that simple
It's that complicated
I have a desire inside
That needs to be sated

I have to face it,
I am a slave to
your rolling waves.
There's no one else.
I'm blind to all others
You are all I crave.

You leave me speechless
I could look at you for hours
I'll do anything it takes
So our love will never sour.

You are my all the world
The waves upon the sand
in every poem I write.
My ink, my paper, my sight.
