Sibling Rivalry
To me, my sister is a friend
She's always there when I need a hand
But when we were younger, we always fought
Hitting and screaming at each other every since we could talk
If she hit me, I hit her back
Then I would say, "Ha Ha I got you last"
I was also the youngest of us two
So of course I was a brat and did what I wanted to do
She would kick me and pull my hair
So I would hide behind the door and give her a scare
Once she threw a brush at me and I jumped up and did a split
She was pretty mad when she realized she missed
And when we got to be adults and got our own lives
The fighting didn't stop, we just improvised
Then I became pregnant and everything changed
We stopped all the arguing and all the games
I was three months when I lost my baby
And she was right there to pick up the pieces and save me
Years later I had a daughter and so did she
And our past became another reality
One day her daughter hit mine, and then mine hit her back
My daughter looked at her funny and said, "Ha Ha I got you last"
