Shut It Out

I put it in
I turn it skyward
The world talks
But I haven't heard
I raise my chin

They all keep talking
I make a move
And they start gawking

I don't need a reason
But I have a good amount
They think I treason
Too many to count

Let's look ahead
Will they sill wonder
What if I'm dead

I won't shout
You won't talk
I'm marked with silence
The world I block
I just shut it out
