Shunned!

Some people see life's life

While living within a land, of

Fantastical tales....

Secured by their very own securities

Of harmony and comfort, and inward views

As all about them countless lives

They perish....

Amid wars, famines and disease!

Passing these flowers unto one another

And assembling their own

Mesmerized by the blind

Which covers their eyes

Causing these cankerous sores to grow

With peace signs of bright and lovely

Like hollowed kisses....

To one and all, and all

That they truly do not know?

Bequesting others to join their legacy

Or to be cast out, as an outsider is

Unto these, of perceptions lies....

The generation, of the foretold

Amid the prophecies, of ancient old!

While the jackals

Feast upon the flesh and bones

The countless tears of lives and souls

As if evil, never did reside

Within, their painted rainbow minds?

Join us upon our journey

Of these flowers within our hair

While skeletons choke upon the crumbs

Left dying, before their gates

Devoured, by the darkness' despair....

Come be a part of us, they sing

Aloud, within their chorus of pretties

Or forever, you shall be shunned?

By this generation of the once foretold

Within ancient visions, of the prophets of old

As they pass their cups of crimsons, now

Unto their very own, and their very own, demise!

For they could not see beyond the veil

Caught, within these winding webs

That spun themselves, deep

Within their own dying eyes

Where God and Christ....

The only bearers of true "Light"

Were long ago, and forever...."Crucified!"

And hell itself, became the science fiction

Of their fairytale....

The signs and the times, of

Peace and love, and, flowers and lies

While millions they perish

Before their muted minds; deceived

As they live within the comforts, of confined

Unto these not so self-imposed

And naive, prisons walls

The final generation, of the woes....

Wilting flowers, of the prophecies foretold

Thank you so much for your comment on my poem. I am deeply and truly humbled. I am so impressed with this write I'm actually at a loss for words. The imagery, the play on words, the metaphors....WOW!!! Wise words for a time when transition seems to be the order of the day. The Lord takes us thru stages in our lives and it's up to us to either embrace them and learn from them or reject them and curse Him for putting us thru them. Keep doing what you're doing. :-)

hiya John, I like this beautiful write, it is full of truth also, if people deny the Lord now they too will Later be denied by him, the self reliant people have no idea of what their future hold, but the Wise man always trusts in the Lord, you are a true friend and a blessing to know you, thanks for your words of wisdom and for all your feed back on all my poems God bless you love from diane and all.

Yes, some peple just do not get the big picture - the "new" generation of disposable morals and everything else is just, so...yuck. They cannot see beyond their next step (and most do not want too) which is very sad, an excellent telling, insightful write my friend, well done! Love Kristin

This is an incredibly insightful piece, the battle between the dark and the light, whilst many only see a rainbow of deceptive colours, because it looks pretty they do not see the ugly, incredible concept. Exceptional write here my friend, maybe one day you would consider a joint write, I think we would work well together ;) Love and respect to you as always and yours xx
