Show Me Something True

Don't tell me something I don't need to hear;
Tell me something true:
Tell me something I can believe in.

Don't tell me who I am;
Show me my faults.
Don't speak to me in riddles;
Speak to me in rhymes.

Don't tell me what today has to bring.
Sing a bit of apathy.
Don't speak in uncertainty:
Speak in words I can understand.

Teach me to overcome everything my eyes have seen.
Don't speak to me--show me what you believe.

Everyone wants evidence and the evidence is sometimes hard to deliver on God can do that. I like the idea put to pen and the way it is presented here. Keep writing. Sara
