Should I Save These Turtles
triplet turtles on a floating log
did their best to not fall into the bog
would they drowned if they did? Did they need a rescue?
I watched one fall in, so now there are two.
Twin turtles on a floating log
they are being eyed by Everglade’s oldest wild hog
Do I need to save them or are they having fun?
Another fell in, so now there is just one.
I watched for the others. Would they soon appear?
Would they raise their glasses and yell out a cheer?
Or should I try to run over and rescue the last turtle on that log?
Before I could decide, he was snapped up by the hog.
