Should An Angel Come

Should an angel come
while I’m running to and fro,
it’s okay for you to go.

The last few years were tears and pain
more than the raging storms and rain.

You stay for me, no need for denial
but it’s selfish to keep you here
   just to see your smile
when the Lord calls you home
you’ll be free at last, fully grown
and I’ve no right to ask or plea
to boldly say don’t leave me

All needed to be said is done,
   your game in life completed,
   played and won.
Nothing remains unsaid between us
	except goodbye my love.
Goodbye.
