Shot
She said........
I was one of ten most wanted women
I had been running from the law
He was a young fast U.S. Marshall
The cutest one I'd ever saw
He chased me out of Tucumcari
I was headed north to Santa Fe
When he drew and fired before I was ready
'Guess I made the headlines today
I was shot through the heart...the first time
In the shadow of a star is where I'll fall
It was straight through the heart...the first time
Now they can take my picture off the wall
Now we ride the range and love the campfires
Love is something better every day
And this morning Dr. Adams tells us
A new cowboy is on the way
I was shot through the heart......
